The artistic doctoral examination often requires examiners to experience practice, and the candidates to carefully articulate the relationship between practice and theory. What challenges does this pose to examiners, and how might training be useful? This seminar sought to unpack the problematics around examination of Artistic Doctorates, providing a space to propose potential ways forward.
